Animated Get A Mac Ads Give You The Holiday Spirit

In the latest Get A Mac ads, PC and Mac have gone animated similar to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

In “I Can Do Anything“, PC has a little fun with a rabbit. In “Tree Trimming“, PC and Mac have fun decorating the Christmas tree.

You have probably already seen these ads, but I wanted to remind you all about them just in case you haven’t. Since the holiday season is nearing completion, it’s as good a time to watch the ads as any. As usual, the ads are pretty funny and show the good natured rivalry between PC and Mac.

Enjoy and have a good New Years!

Learn About Macbook Air’s New Soul From Yael Naim

No doubt that you’ve seen the first Macbook Air ad. The manilla folder shows you just how thin the Macbook Air truly is. As with many Apple ads, music takes the center stage along with the product.

The Macbook Air ad features a catchy tune by Yael Naim called New Soul. The song, and her new CD (iTunes link), is currently available in iTunes. In addition to the Macbook Air ad, Yael has recently received some more press. USA Today recently did a short article on Yael that dives into her background in music, her new CD, and other tidbits.

Being a singer-songwrite fan, I’ve listened to a few of the other tracks from her CD and have enjoyed them. If you’re a fan of singer-songwriters you should definitely check her out. If you’ve discovered any good singer-songwriters lately, drop his/her name in the comments. I’m always on the lookout for some good music.

Another Clever Mac Web Ad Appears

Mac and PC are at it again in one of those clever banner/sidebar combo ads. This one features PC climbing a ladder to put a “Not” sign at the end of a quote from the Wall Street Journal that says “Leopard is better and faster than Vista”. PC says he’s correcting a “typo” in the quote while Mac tells PC that he thinks the quote is true. I’m really liking these web ads that feature this combination of ad types to form a semi interactive ad. The ads are quite enjoyable! The ad is shown using Flash Player. You can see the ad in action by heading over to the Tech section on CNN. Click the thumbnail to the left to view a larger snapshot of the ad.
