While we certainly don’t mind writing for ourselves, we want to know what you want to read as well. To help us gather your writing suggestions, we’re going to test out Skribit.

Skribit is an online web service made for bloggers, by bloggers. Once you put a little javascript code on your blog, you’ll notice a “Suggestions?” tab on your page. Readers just click the tab and enter their writing suggestions. You can create an account on Skribit and follow your suggestion or post suggestions and vote anonymously. You can read much more about Skribit on their website.

If you have any topics you would like us to write about, just click the blue suggestion tab on the right side of our page and post your suggestion or vote on other suggestions. From time to time we’ll look over the suggestions and write about them. So what are you waiting for? Suggest away!

Happy 2010! The new year crept up on me with my birthday, Christmas, and my ongoing home renovation. As we move further into 2010, I wanted to take a quick look back at 2009 here at Apple Mac HQ. I combed through our Google Analytics logs to find the most popular posts written in 2009. Here are the top 5 posts written last year, in order of page views.

MacGourmet touch Released
I love to cook (and eat), but I was a little shocked to see this post about MacGourmet touch being released was the most popular post written in 2009. I use MacGourmet on Mac every week, but I never got around to purchasing MacGourmet touch. That will change in 2010 as I wished I had my recipe collection with me at the grocery store several times last year.

The Apple Table
I’ve featured three Apple Office Of The Month here at AMHQ, and this is my favorite. Horst Gumz created this amazing table to go with his iMac. I wish I had his craftsmanship skills.

MLB At Bat
To date, the MLB At Bat iPhone App is my most expensive App Store purchase. The news that live in game audio was coming must have been good news to many AMHQ listeners since this was the third most popular post in 2009. Too bad my Braves missed the playoffs again last year.

MacBundleBox
It’s no secret that Mac users love their software bundles. From MacHeist, MacUpdate, MacBundleBox, and more, Mac users have no shortage of software bundles to choose from. There will no doubt be more in 2010.

Applications I couldn’t Live Without in 2008
As I did in 2007, I also listed applications I couldn’t live without in 2008. I like to see similar lists on other Mac websites so it’s no surprise that the readers of AMHQ clicked this post often in 2009. My list for 2009 will be coming soon.

You can’t turn on the TV these days without hearing about the global economic crisis or the latest companies asking the government for bailout money. When most people hear about the amount of money these companies are asking for, they naturally ask what the government is going to do for them. Since this is a Mac website, I’m going to play the role of the government and present my stimulus package to indie developers. Free ad space.

I’m going to give away at least one, maybe two, ad spaces on the Apple Mac HQ website to Mac indie developers. The ads will run for one month and will cost absolutely nothing. The space will be just below the RSS and Twitter icons in the right side bar.

To enter, just use the contact form (link at top of the page) and send me a few paragraphs about your product and why I should choose you. If I have any questions, I’ll follow up with you via the email address you used when you submitted the contact form. The deadline for entry is December 12th. I’ll choose a winner over that weekend and will launch the ad(s) on December 16th, where they will run until January 16th. The ad needs to be a 125 x 125 pixel image (jpg or png). In addition to the ad space, I’ll do a brief announcement of the winner(s) with a short blog post. I’m limiting this offer to Mac and iPhone developers. No web applications, hardware, or anything else.

What’s the catch? Nothing. The only thing I ask of the winner(s) is that they check their referral logs or analytics software at the end of the ad period and let me know how many referrals they received. If you want to give away a few licenses, I’ll be glad to do a giveaway of some kind. In return, I’ll do a full post/review of the application.

If you’re not a Mac or iPhone developer, please pass along this post to any developers you might think are interested. Questions? Ask in the comments below.

If you’re on Twitter, you can get the latest Apple news right in your Twitter stream. Just follow @applemachq. Unlike some blogs, I’m not going to post updates like “hey, check out my new post” everyday. You might occasionally see a tweet like that, but that will be the exception rather than the rule. Instead, I’m going to try to feed you tidbits of information that I might otherwise not mention here on the blog. I’m likely to tweet when I’ve found a cool new app or heard the latest Apple news. That’s the kind of stuff you’ll see on the Apple Mac HQ twitter stream. So go ahead, follow @applemachq on twitter!
