According to a recent NYTimes article, the MLB At Bat iPhone application will get a substantial update in 2009. At the core of the update is live game radio broadcasts. I have been shouting from roof tops since this application hit the App Store, that streaming audio was the most obvious feature missing from the application. I don’t even care if you have to buy the application and still pay the $15 for the Gameday Audio package. I will gladly pay the $15 plus whatever the application costs to listen to the Braves anytime, anywhere.

I now have a reason to upgrade to iPhone 3G.
