There is no doubt the 2008 US Presidential election will go down as one of the most significant elections in the last 100 years. For the first time in history, either a woman will be Vice President or an African-American will control the Oval Office.

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) was held this past week in Denver with many speeches spread over several days and many hours. Unless you parked yourself in front of the TV for most of the week, you probably missed a few of those speeches. And for those inclined, iTunes has you covered.

The Democratic Party has posted the majority of the speeches from Denver on iTunes. The speeches are about 50/50 audio/video. The major speeches, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama, are all in video. It’s great they are posting the speeches on iTunes, but I wish each speech was available in both audio and video formats.

By mentioning this podcast, I am in no way endorsing any particular candidate for President. In fact, I still don’t know who I’m going to vote for.

You can download the speeches from the 2008 Democratic National Convention: Selected Speeches podcast (iTunes link).
