I use VMware Fusion with XP so the same tip works for me. If you're booting into a Windows OS via Boot Camp, I haven't seen any tips to get it to work....sorry. With the text cursor in the Spotlight field blank (it should automatically be in there anyway), type in "System preferences". I guess in this instance it pays to have an old USB mouse hanging around somewhere.
